What are the advantages of having kicktails for downhill/freeride? For example, decks like Jet Wrath, landyatchz Peacemaker, Rayne Phantom and other decks similar all have kicktails. Do they help??

I personally think that kicktails are mainly there to make them more versatile and are helpful when just cruising around. They arent really for freestyle tricks as the boards are usually heavy, but they help for kickturns and and maybe some tail slides.
